BASCalc is a simple, Australian-made Excel spreadsheet that helps sole traders complete their quarterly BAS quickly and confidently.

My name is Joanne Smith, and I created BASCalc after years of doing my own BAS as a sole trader in regional Western Australia. I was tired of:

  • Spending hundreds of dollars every quarter on accountant fees, or
  • Spending hours inside myGov trying to work out G1, 1A, G11 and PAYG fields.

I wanted something clear and practical that I could use in Excel – no logins, no complicated software – just a straightforward calculator that gives me the exact numbers I need to type into myGov.

BASCalc was born from that frustration.

Today, BASCalc helps Australian sole traders:

  • Organise income and expense totals in one place
  • Automatically calculate GST collected and GST paid
  • Instantly see the main BAS fields (G1, 1A, 1B, G11 and PAYG)
  • Keep their own records tidy for the ATO

BASCalc is designed for:

  • Sole traders
  • Tradies and contractors
  • ABN side-hustles
  • Freelancers and gig workers
  • Anyone who does their own quarterly BAS

When you purchase BASCalc, you receive:

  • The BASCalc Excel spreadsheet (.xlsx)
  • A simple “How To” tab inside the file to walk you through each step
  • Example entries to show you how it works
  • Lifetime access to the file for your own business use

I’ve built BASCalc to be the tool I wish I had years ago – something that makes BAS time faster, clearer and much less stressful for Australian sole traders.
